FAQ

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questons)Q: What are your business hours?
A: We are open Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We close to observe the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Q: Where is your office located?
A: We are located at 2115 Usher Street, N.W. in Covington, Georgia. Please see the Contact Us section of our website for a map and directions.

Q: Will I be able to speak to an attorney when I schedule an appointment?
A: Yes, we believe that it is important for the client to meet and speak with the attorney who will be handling his or her case.

Q: Do you offer free consultations?
A: Yes. Consultations for Workers’ Compensation cases and Personal Injury cases are ALWAYS FREE. However, we charge a reasonable consultation fee for all other types of cases that we handle.

Q: Do you handle cases on a contingency fee basis?
A: Yes. Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury cases are handled on a contingency fee basis, which means if the client does not receive compensation, we do not get paid either. However, we do charge a reasonable hourly rate for all other types of cases that we handle.

Q: What is my case worth?
A: Many clients want to know how much their case is worth during the initial consultation. That is a difficult question that requires a great deal of thought. Every case is unique. There is no set value to one type of case or another. We cannot tell you what your case is worth at the beginning of the representation. In fact, no one has a crystal ball, and you should be suspicious of those who claim they can tell what a case is worth before even working on the case. At The Pope Law Firm, we are not interested in empty promises. We are interested in results. We strive to work as hard as we can on each case to maximize its value so that you are satisfied at the conclusion of the representation that you received proper compensation for your case.

Q: Do you take credit cards?
A: No, unfortunately we do not accept credit cards but are happy to discuss other forms of payment with you.

Q: Who will answer my routine questions?
A: Both Greg and Liz Pope pride themselves on being available to personally answer their clients’ phone calls or to promptly return them if scheduling did not allow for an immediate response. They also believe in prompt responses to emails. In addition, clients may speak to Elizabeth Brown, our paralegal, who is well-versed in all of the Firm’s cases and can answer most status-related questions. However, all legal questions are answered by one of the attorneys.
